Our History

House of Refuge Church began on April 4, 1999.  It started as a Friday night Bible study prior to becoming a church.

Our Purpose

To provide a secure place of safety and shelter for all people.

Our Mission

We are committed to transforming people with the Word of God and the power of the Holy Spirit.

Our Vision

That House of Refuge Church would be a place filled with the glory of God.

Our Doctrine

We believe the Bible to be the inspired, infallible, authoritative Word of God.  
We believe that there is one God, existent in three persons:  Father, Son and Holy Spirit.
We believe in the deity of our Lord Jesus Christ, His virgin birth, sinless life, atoning death through His shed blood, His bodily resurrection, His ascension into heaven and in His  
 personal return in power and glory.
We believe the word of God teaches in John 3:3 that a person must be born again in order
to go to heaven.  We believe that following salvation, believers should live holy lives, being
empowered to do so by the Holy Spirit who dwells within.

We stress the importance of a personal relationship with Jesus Christ through prayer, reading the Bible and attending services that challenge us to grow spiritually.
